katie norton Poems

We started hand and hand
Three years old
Best friends
We were always told
...

Four letters
One kind
One young
One loving
...

how do i love someone
who hated me so?
how do i cherish thee
if you dont cherish me?
...

A simple wave
A gesture of hello
Could have helped
But who were you to know?
...

5.

That violent act
Can ruin light and day
Dark and night
And its here today
...

Smile sweet, Smile pure
a text from him
makes it sure
your heart beats twice
...

Sunshine
fillled with love and tears
happiness and sorrow
makes the sunny sky
...

this poem was written for Ally Middleton and her organzation on myspace and facebook called Why Violence?

anger
hatred
...

the velvet of your voice
rings in my ears
i toss and turn with a smile
i love you
...

military daughter
solider as her daddy
a proud smile on her face as he stepped on that plane
she was young
...

A stupid fight
It broke us up
Late that night
I was mean
...

i try to write my name but it ends with y-l-e
i try and think of something else but it ends up a picture of you and me
i try and imagine what it would be like to be your baby
i wonder could you kiss me this once, just maybe?
...

I don’t want a conversation
I just want you to hold me
I don’t want a kiss
I just want flip through
...

14.

The letters cut into my arm spell k.y.l.e
The name carved in my heart
Pulses with every second beat
Spell k.y.l.e
...

Music speaks my language
what ever mood im in
passion
or sadness
...

Holdin on to the past
When the future calls my name
I’ll always be his baby girl
No time came make it change
...

I took my why violence poems and put them into one poem (farwell, a simple wave and why?)

A simple wave
A gesture of hello
...

(mix up of poems all about the same person this mix up includes: best friends, kyle, i know i love you, i love you too and more)
...

Hello old friend
How has it been
Lying beneth my bed
Longing to be used
...

my forever lies within you.
every part you see.
your eyes my sky
and your smile the warmth of me.

Best Friends

We started hand and hand
Three years old
Best friends
We were always told

I was seven
And he was eight
What little boy knew
What a girl thought was great
The princess cat
The toy he picked
For my special day
The day I realized he always took my breath away

I was nine
And he just ten
His arms around my waist back then
Scared for my life as I stepped on
He helped me ride
Skateboard and gone
He stood there by my side
Didn’t let go till I said all right
The way I felt
Was a special day
The day I realized he always took my breath away

Im forteen
And were best friends
The thoughts still come now and then
I picture me and him
Holding hands
Down the beach
And in the sand
Together
Forever
We were always told

Cause when
I was little
And I moved in
Down the street
And knew no one then
Then I saw a friend
And that’s where it began

So now I picture

Today as a fairytale
I pictured me in white
And him by my side
My daddy next to me
No place left to hide
The love we share inside

So now and then thoughts come in
And now and then
They never end
I always knew that he would be
The one in front
Sitting on his knee
Saying
Baby I was three when we first met
You were two but I don’t regret
Saying hi that day
The day
You took my breath away

I pictured me in white
And him by my side
My daddy next to me
No place left to hide
The love we share inside
