I Lie Awake
In the darkness of the night,
I lie in wake and fear the light
With a shadow in my head
I lie awake whilst in my bed
I can not sleep nor rest my eyes
I can not feel emotion inside
A deep dark hole grows in my chest
And emptiness spreads instead
Lost with no sense of self
Trembling from the nothingness felt
I can not speak during this time
I can not think of my life inside
My mind is murky like the sea
My soul is mist and feels foggy
With each breath that hold me down
I lie awake to a silent sound
I can not feel my heart at all
I can not think or I will lost it all
