The leaf didn't knew where the wind will take it,

Colored Trees

I got down from the bus that morning,
reached the intersection with the red stop warning.
The road in front stretching it's arms left and right,
As, I am waiting for the ‘Walk 'signal, and the ‘Green' light.

My eyes catch the sight of the colored trees,
lined up right in front, across the street.
"Hmmm", I thought, isn't it a beautiful sight?
I am sure I would have missed it even today,
if I had my car to ride.

Then I started walking, crossing over the street,
I am swept away like a fall leaf, hearing a little bird tweet.

Separating the colors on the trees,
Yellow, Orange, Red and Green,
All mixed up to make a beautiful scene.

It's cold outside but my soul is feeling the heat,
Of the amazing little things in sight,
in sky, and in the breeze.

I am warm inside and I think there is a reason,
As, this is the beginning of the fall season.

As I walk up to my work that morning,
Counting my blessings that God is pouring.
I step on the dry fall leaves,
And remember deep down inside, I believe,
I don't wish for silver coins or pot of Gold
But only the beauty and peace this day holds.
