Leaf Poem by Kusum Gala

Leaf

Rating: 2.5

The leaf didn't knew where the wind will take it,
it didn't even try to resist,
it just went with the flow.

Landed on the water and began to float,
Little did that leaf knew that it was not just water,
it was huge ocean to float.

When leaf opened her eyes,
found itself on the different side of the world.
A new place a new country a new forest to explore.

Now the leaf thinks about the old forest,
And the days when she was on the tree,
She'd had grounding, had food, had shelter,
and nothing to be bored.

Now leaf sometimes flies high,
and sometimes flies low,
There is fun and pain in the flight,
and there still more to explore.

No matter where the leaf went,
it always thought about the tree,
and the sad tree was always counting leaves,
to see one less leaf on the tree.

Life is like that leaf which has fallen from the tree,
moments gone will never come,
no leaf ever gets back to tree.
