Stone

There is so much we can learn from stone.....

Stone is strong and tough,
you can learn to be determined,
or you can learn to be astubborn.

It is can used as a weapon or as an idol,
you can fight or worship,
a stone is still a stone.

It stays colder than the cold and hotter than the heat,
there is something in it, which it doesn't let go,
and keeps longer then it needs.

Toughness ofsuch a stone, one day melts away,
with water, weather and years ofdisarray.
nature's way to carve beauty and create rounded pebbles for kids to play.

That tough stone one day turns into sand,
it gives peace and texture,
and a sand castle or a sculpture.

And a lesson to remember,
no sand castle ever stays,
it always gets wiped off with a wave.

The transformation journey from stone to sand was really commendably described in words. Thank you

Yes, roughness and toughness are only a state of one stage of matter. Naturally it transforms in to others. If one desires to hasten the process to one's need, it is possible too. Interesting write. Please read my haiku on Sculptor. Thanks Kusum for the inspiring poem.

Kusum, you are creative. Your poem sounded like one of a Pablo Neruda's odes to common things. Keep writing..
