Who chooses tricks to pick.
With a smooth strategy,
Undetected that is slick.

The dieting on sugar coated,
Sweetened speeches.
Delivered from podiums and pulpits.

The crisis has been identified.
And a wall is reported,
To be immediately needed.
At a cost to deepen a deficit so high,

Racism, bigotry, indifferences, division.
Disparities, inequalities.
And entitlements supporting ignorance to believe.
Now the Wall is being advocated.

Time has arrived,
To personalize and recapture...
One's faith with it taken,
To walk in it and not fake.
...

Delayed and belated clarity.
Is still clarity to have.
Regardless of when it comes.
To open eyes, ears and minds when done.
...

What happened to maturity,
Of those who once had it.
Expected to have in positions to lead.
And who is there left with it to prove,
...

The less informed,
Choose to perform impressions to make.
Hoping feelings of inferiority kept,
Are not revealed openly to have this seen.

Seeking to evaluate life,
Through brown eyes...
Blue eyes.
Hazel or green.

Who is it that's too busy,
Not to thank God every day.
