not doing just being
not intoxicated

eager to consume more than beer
eager to consume themselves from each other
the drunker they get the more they make no sense

there are three powers
three energies that exist among others
the silent watchers see you use them

attachment is a sign of someone weak
if you suckle at my teat you are a child

thinking is for brave soldiers

though many of us are forced onto the battle field

the echoey organ plays
a young woman sits at the instrument in the church alone

A Man Of Peace
alone is truth for a man
alone and still and silent
not doing just being
not intoxicated
not relying
just alone and still
alone with his thoughts
alone with his feelings
does he feel peace
is he content
or is he bored
is he longing
is he desperate
is he lonely
a man should only need himself
a man should need no other man
a man should need no woman
to be a man
but this new world makes it hard for a man to be a man
he doesn't know what being a man is
he thinks it is making money
he thinks it is getting a name for himself
but that is not a man
a man is only a man when he knows who he is
when he has looked long and hard at himself
when he has made changes
for peace
men have lost touch with who they really are
industrialisation has taken man from nature
he now owns nature
and doesn't belong to it
and men still fight over land
they war over it
I own it one says
I own it says another
land is owned by no man
but a man should look after the land like it is his own
caring for it
and letting it grow
so you wish to be a man
then go within
and go without
look deeply at yourself
look at yourself with new eyes
change your self
and then look at the world
and see of you can be a man
of peace
