Those folks had to be brave

As the years go rolling past you
Starting as a little child
Worries are at a minimum
But memories are carefully filed.

My dad was truly my hero
How special he was to me
I was really a lucky girl
For he treated me tenderly,

I’m afraid that sometimes I feel bitchy
I feel grumpy the whole day through
I just feel very out of sorts

Lots of farmers get together
From all across the land
So much there is to share
Sometimes will take a stand.

So many faces that spring presents to us
And don’t we just love them all?
Ponds and lakes warm for ducks and geese
New flowers both small or sturdy and tall.

Old barns capture my attention
As I drive across the land
They dot the country landscape
On solid ground on which they stand.

Do you ever miss school?
Well, I just have to say
That I do not miss it
Not one single day.
