What do I see?
Hate, avoidance; no part of me you want

What do I hear?

There was a time in my life
When I was all alone
And even though it was free from strife
I felt I had no home

Sitting silently in her place
the young one rests
Thinking to herself

Through the passage of time we do many things
Actions: some wrong, some right that we commit

In the absence of reason we act in ways normally never considered

The object of love, the item of despise
Unknown they grow, each on the rise.
Pushing the boundaries of rationality
When combined, cause dis-functionality.

When I think of my life
I have to say
its the best one I know
And its here to stay

The life that is stagnant
Growth stunted in static form
A life that once held promise
Now curbing the expectations
