My name's Mike. Have had a rough past. Found free form poetry to be my outlet for a lot of things. Helped me with my depression and bi-polar disorder.. Haven't been posting my works. But my friends suggested I should. So here I am. Tried to find a good place to do so. Discuss poetry, ideas, anything really. I love talking to people on a deeper level. Can't always do the with my friends... LOL hopefully I'll be able to find some friends on here. Talk to me. I'm an easy going guy. :))

Love Is All I Need

In my heart I am never afraid to love,
But in my mind I am always afraid to get attached.
When I am in your arms,
It is the only moment in my life I can feel,
Vulnerable,
Unsure,
Scared,
Lost,
Welcomed,
Happy,
Loved,
Without fear of losing you.

All these emotions race through my head,
Making me unsure as to how I'm susposed to feel.
But in my heart I know that in your arms,
I can never be harmed,
I'm never alone.

The darkness is always at bay when you're around me,
My thoughts are no longer scattered,
For I know that as long as I am with you,
Love is all I need to feel.
Love is all I need to be strong.
Love is all I need to face you.

I must admit,
I am very intimidated by you.
Your beautiful smile,
Your lovely smell,
Your lost hair scattered on my bed after your leaving,
Your warm heart beat as my head rests on your chest,
Your loud laugh,
Your unknowing stare glaring into me,
As if you're peering into my soul.

For the first time in my life,
I can actually share this strong emotion in my mind with someone,
It isn't love.
Love is too simple to describe this feeling.
For when I'm next to you,
My legs tingle,
My heart races,
Ny stomache floats,
My mouth becomes dry,
My eyes water,
My mind becomes dumbfounded.

When I first shared that special moment in my life with you
That kiss, that wonderful kiss.
I knew from there you were mine and I want to be yours.
I want to be the one you've been waiting for.
You're the one girl my dreams showed me,
The girl I only thought was a fantasy.
I never knew I could find such happiness... such bliss, in one.

I wish I could properly describe my love to you,
But for that I need a thousand pages and two thousand more.
I can never thank you enough for showing me what it truly means to be loved, and cared for.
With my broken heart, shattered pieces everywhere,
Here is some glue and tape.
I've tried putting it back together.
Maybe you can do a better job than I.
Fix me please.
I know these pieces of mine are not much,
But maybe you can place them together and make me whole once more.
