To get me through my day

The days have slowed and it's very cold now
Still hope and love keep my heart warm

With the grey clouds come wind of a deafening force.
The source of my sorrow, the black pedals of course
and I know the rain is coming, I've seen little yet but breeze.
To see what the rain maker sees beyond the green of trees

It's a little closer than I've wanted, farther than ever.
It's my vision that's haunted, from this terrible weather.
A nightmare I've taunted, for what seems like forever.
My dreams slowly fade and fade...

Where do you turn, when there's no where left to run
I'm done, you'll learn, when there's no fairness won
A gun, a silver bullet, the impact tends to stun,
but overun by the nothingness you feel inside

I just remembered that summer we shared.
How excited, when you were almost there.
I bet you don't remember,
You may not even care,

I walk a steady path
One without numbers or time
Yet I face the wrath
Of the wind blowing on my face
...

I heard you whispering your doubts
Or maybe it was only a dream
I'm trying my best I'm never running out
I love you with all my heart if you know what I mean

We've spent all this time together
and with every moment I treasure
I wonder who you are on the inside
All of the soft spoken words you hide
...

If you ever feel doubt just remember that we all get scared
I should've dared to show you something better than me
Just know that I'm trying to be all that you need
