That Summer We Shared Poem by Moth Harris

That Summer We Shared

Rating: 5.0

I just remembered that summer we shared.
How excited, when you were almost there.
I bet you don't remember,
You may not even care,
I always used to hate when your eyes
were covered by your hair.
You had a beautiful smirk,
You had that sparkling stare.
You had a good heart,
but your love wasn't at all fair.

I remember that big old tree where we sat.
All of those empty promises that were made.
I don't know why we believed,
In all of the games that we played.
It was truly a shame
When our love had to fade
because to tell you the truth
I would've forever stayed,
lost in those sparkling eyes.
