Nnamdi Okose

Nnamdi Okose Poems

I scheme brushes
at the edge of rainbow
Swirl colours
on the gourd
...

FLYING, reaching towards the tempting limits of afterlife
In the crumbled dungeon of a matchbox
Psychedelic mannequins, blood shot eyed
Smiling distantly that all is okay.
...

Time whispered within the veil of wind
Scattered gold dust across the sky
And had it suspended there
Within the cocoon of unsung butterflies.
...

I can no longer look you in the eyes
Not now that I've drunk of the pattering
Blood rain on the back of your neck
Innocence fled in the apocalypse
...

Now that I've held you
In the eyes of my heart
Waiting…
For ghoulish whispers
...

Introduction

I scheme brushes
at the edge of rainbow
Swirl colours
on the gourd
of night
A wandering soul
searching for its credo
A restless blush
in the cheek of light
