looking out,
yet looking in,
a million tinkerbells,
sparkling
...

Grey bags bursting with purpose
drift inpatiently above.

I have a roof

He toasts the waking day with
a settling slurp, rolls a ciggarette
as shaking hands slow to a gentle
tremble.

'Love' the disharmony of the senses
the destroyer of our emotional defences.

'Hate' the unrelenting warrior of distraction

Of course your idea of happiness
differs to mine,
You and me
we were built with different hands,

Emily is on the floor
Emily can't take no more
Emily says she aint no whore
Emily looks at the closed door

Closer to the road, the ancient graves
crumble under the weight of time.
Words of love, of lost, of hope and despair
are scattered amongst the un cut grass.
