I had just begun to understand
the meaning of death when my uncle died.
Before him, Death was something that
happpened to members of my family that
...
i sit by my window,
watching in apprehension,
fingers clenched tight,
feeling sick from the tension.
...
mummy and daddy are
always so ratty,
cause they drink coffee
and tea,
...
when i am in my bed at night.
i cuddle my one eyed teddy so very tight,
monsters come alive in the dark,
spikey, hairy bad breath scary beasts,
...
Do not stare at me under the glare of the sun,
nor kiss my lips before night has begun,
Do not wrap your arms around me till you are asleep.
nor try and hold me until i have become old and week.
...
Give me some pen and paper
and I will shower you with many a sweet verse,
give me a torrid tale,
and out of my poets purse-
...
Cast your line of hope out into the void
See not the journey but the landing.
Inverted drops clinging onto nothingness
...
Four years falling,
A thousand faces
flash by within a breath.
A just fallen feather
...
To summarise my day
in the most poetic way
I sell my soul on the web.
...
Me old man only ever eld me once
before he closed the door forever.
I always had hope in my other father
Santa, thinking he would love me more.
