ഉഷ്ണകാലമേഘം
ഒരുഷ്ണകാലമേഘമെവിടെയോ പെയ്തു
വിദൂരമാം ഗിരിശൃംഗത്തില്‍
ഒരു ശീതവാതമെന്‍ കാതിലോതി
വിയര്‍പ്പിന്‍ കിതപ്പില്‍
ഉരുകിയമരുമുത്തരാഹ്നത്തില്‍
അതുകേട്ടു ഞാന്‍ കുളിര്‍ത്തു
വാതായനങ്ങള്‍ തുറന്നിട്ടു കിടന്നു
ഒരു മുകിലിന്‍ തരിപോലുമെന്നൂഷരമാം
നഭസ്സില്‍ ചിലങ്കയിട്ടെത്തിയില്ലാടാന്‍
വിയര്‍പ്പില്‍ വീര്‍പ്പുമുട്ടലില്‍ ചൂടിന്നാ-
ലസ്യത്തില്‍ ഞാനല്‍പം സ്വയമെന്നെ മറന്നപ്പോള്‍
അവളെത്തി കാര്‍മുകില്‍ വേണി
കിനാവിന്‍ തളിര്‍മണിക്കുരുന്നുകള്‍ക്കൊത്തിരി
തീര്‍ത്ഥം തളിച്ച് ചിലമ്പണിഞ്ഞെന്‍
നിദ്രതന്നിടന്നാഴികളില്‍ നൃത്തമാടാന്‍
ഞാനുണരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ
അവളുടെ ഈര്‍പ്പമണിഞ്ഞിത്തിരി കിടന്നോട്ടെ
കിനാവിന്‍റെ വരളും കുന്നുകളില്‍
കുളിരിന്‍ പുനര്‍ജ്ജനികള്‍ ജനിച്ചൊഴുകി
കളകളം പാടിച്ചിരിച്ചാര്‍ക്കട്ടെ
ഉയിരിന്നുഷ്ണമേ ചൊല്ലൂ വിട
ഇതൊരുഷ്ണതാപത്തിന്‍ മഹാസ്വപ്നം
Wow......... this is a fantastic write! In this sultry weather, you expect to have a cooling shower, but it is yet to be reality! Your poems in the Mother tongue are too good! In the third stanza,2nd line if you delete the word 'Njanalppam', it would sound even better!
Thanks a lot for your kind words, Valsa-ji. About the suggestion, my younger brother who is adept at reciting poetry feels that that 'njAnalpam' enables musical flow; besides, it suggests that the sleep was fitful coming in short doses. I have no musical sense and my reciting is very pedestrian - something people can never tolerate.
