വരവേല്‍പ്പൊരുക്കങ്ങള്‍
ഓമനക്കുഞ്ഞിന്‍ വരവുകാത്ത്
അനുമോദനത്തിന്‍റെ മാരിയേറ്റ്
വര്‍ണശബളം അലങ്കാരമധ്യത്തില്‍
മുല്ലപ്പൂ പുഞ്ചിരി തൂകിക്കൊണ്ട്
നിറവയര്‍ ചെറ്റൊന്ന് കൈകൊണ്ടു താങ്ങി
ചുറ്റുമാടും ബലൂണ്‍കള്‍ക്കു നാണമേകി
അതിഥികളെ വരവേല്‍ക്കുവാനായ്
അമ്മയവിടെയിരുന്നിരുന്നു
ഒരു ശിശുഹര്‍ഷവര്‍ഷം* തുടങ്ങയായി
ഡോക്ടര്‍ പറഞ്ഞതാണല്ലൊ
ശിശുവൊരു ബാലനാണെന്ന്
വരുംകാലഫുട്ബാളറാവാം
ത്വരിതം അവന്‍റെയാ പുളകദപാദങ്ങള്‍
ഉദരത്തില്‍ അല്ലാതെ ചൊല്‍വതെന്ത്?
പാട്ടും കളികളുമാട്ടവുമായ്
ആഘോഷം മുന്നോട്ട് പോകയായി
പക്ഷികളൊന്നിച്ച് പാടിയപ്പോള്‍
സായാഹ്നം അരുണിമയായിമാറി
അമ്മയുമച്ഛനുമാഹ്ളാദിക്കെ
ശിശുവൊരു സാന്ദ്രപ്രകാശമായി
ഉദരത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ ചുരുണ്ടുകൂടി
തലതാഴ്ത്തി കണ്ണുകള്‍ ചിമ്മി മേവി
പൂര്‍വ്വകര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസൃതമായ്
സൃഷ്ടികര്‍ത്താവിന്‍റെ പദ്ധതിയില്‍
നാനാത്വലോകമായ് പൂത്തുലയാന്‍
നാമ്പിടും ജ്യോതിസ്സിന്‍ സാന്ദ്രരൂപം
അവനെ ആശംസിക്കിന്‍ അതിഥികളെ
അവന്‍ കാണുന്നതെല്ലാം ശുഭങ്ങളാട്ടെ!
ചരിക്കുന്ന ലോകം സുമങ്ങളും പട്ടും
വിരിച്ചുള്ള മഞ്ജുളസ്സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗമാട്ടെ!

അമ്മയുമച്ഛനുമാഹ്ളാദിക്കെ ശിശുവൊരു സാന്ദ്രപ്രകാശമായി ഉദരത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ ചുരുണ്ടുകൂടി തലതാഴ്ത്തി കണ്ണുകള്‍ ചിമ്മി മേവി പൂര്‍വ്വകര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്കനുസൃതമായ് സൃഷ്ടികര്‍ത്താവിന്‍റെ പദ്ധതിയില്‍ നാനാത്വലോകമായ് പൂത്തുലയാന്‍ നാമ്പിടും ജ്യോതിസ്സിന്‍ സാന്ദ്രരൂപം Lovely lines...... How proud and happy the little one will be of his grandpa who wrote these beautiful lines for him, once he is able to understand their depth and beauty! Great translation!
