What would one person do to survive?
One would do anything not to die,
For life is a gift from God above,
One must learn to grow and love,
In the deepest parts of our own mind,
We can find strength, so rich and kind,
To pull ourselves from the depths of despair,
We find there is nothing we can't bear,
As human beings our goal must be,
To live our best, then we're set free,
Our wings will come when this life is done,
But during life, we must overcome,
In the wink of a smile we find the gift,
Soon enough death takes us swift.
