078. Awakening Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

078. Awakening

There is a dark planet
Crowded with hollow men
Having no backbone,
No heart, no sense,
No mind, no feeling
But suffering from ceaseless agony.

They are groaning and moaning
Gathering one after another
Like the pale and withered
Deciduous leaves
Lying on the damp ground
In the forest in winter.

Only the visible darkness
Pervades always there.
Beauty, Love, happiness-
Nothing touches them.
Only the light of Love of the Almighty
May bring them back into life.
