1 Poem by Katrina Billingsley

Suffocating
barely breathing
head under water
wrists are bleeding.

Help! Help!
My mind is screaming.
Eyes closing
I've given up hoping.

Boom! Thud!
The door is opening.
In you're arms I lie,
you are begging and pleading.
This isn't goodbye.

On the phone with the medics,
you cry.
How can life flash by,
in the blink of an eye?
