24 Hours Poem by Darrell Harrris

24 Hours

Who is me? woe is me I can't find a single answer
But I see warmth inside your eyes when I'm getting weird
You listen to me rant a bunch of nothings when we're all alone
And honestly I do the same to put a smile on your face
I think I can turn into something if it's for you
You make feel secure when you need some self security
The lines getting blurred but with you they come into focus
I have a purpose in this world when I see your face
Your crazy ways don't have a single reason but I make one
I think it's vice versa because I feel the same
Feeling inside of you when I'm going off the deep end
You bring me back to the reality of me and you
Are you an angel or a mermaid enticing me with songs?
We still have a long time to work it out
If we wake up in the morning I listen to what you have to say
It's so surreal to hear a different point of view
Because I only make my own based off of the past sayings
And yours a littles different from what I used to hear
