Sweet Am, it’s simpler than you think,
The answer is before your eyes.
While the past departs with each blink,
The future can tell no lies.

Yes, I’ve said “I love you” before
To girls I once held dear,
But there’s a reason they’ve used the door
And why you’re still here:

They were all just temporary,
Like a season that must pass.
But you, on the contrary,
Are a timeless hourglass.

You are forever, we are one,
An unbreakable chain.
The love we share can’t be undone
And will eternally remain.

Amalie, you have my whole self,
Every bit and every piece,
Every fraction, every part,
Every fold and every crease.

And you have something they never did,
One thing that sets you apart,
I saved for you what I kept hid:
Forever you have my heart.
