258. You Are So Touhcy And So Illusive Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

258. You Are So Touhcy And So Illusive

Have you ever tried to read my mind?
Have you ever tried to make me happy?
What may I expect from you, my dear?
I can utter just - no, never, nothing...

With a full hearted hope and dream
I wanted to walk with you, only with you.
But you receded and receded like a mirage
Only to deceive me, only to frustrate me.

I thought, 'you are so lovely, so colourful'
I wanted to make my dream so beautiful
With your charming hue, with your loveliness
But you made my dream so colourless, so dark.

I just wanted your magical touch.
You might have filled my eyes with joy
And my face with smile and happiness
But you threw me in the ocean of tear.

You are a fishing hook with a fragrant bait.
You are a rotten bough of an amorous tree.
Like a hunter you feel so happy and delighted
By trapping and killing the victim cruelly.

Now I am too tired to rush towards you.
You are so touchy, so egotistic, so illusive.
I don't need you; I don't need your mercy
As now I am self dependent to lead a happy life.
