316 Jealousy Poem by Jaden Knight

316 Jealousy

Am I better looking than you? ?
then disfigure me in your mind
it wouldn't matter either way to me
as how you see me is irrelevant
as it's what's inside that counts

Am I more honest than who you are? ?
then make up more cowardly lies
while some may believe them for a while
the truth won't be hidden forever

Do you think I'm richer than you
then steal everything I own
it's not in material wealth
that you're poorer than me
but in those people you call your friends

Am I a better person than you
I guess it looks that way
I chose to remain who I am
and not compare myself to others
that way I can never succumb
to your crippling disease of jealousy
