I feel it all around me here,
I see it though it’s clear and sheer,
Blowing through the citrus trees.
It grazes passed the building tops,
It breezes passed the city shops
And makes its way with ease.
I feel it all around me now,
Carrying a solemn vow
And high hopes in its wing.
I breathe in its soothing air,
It cools lungs and lifts my hair,
As if I were a noble king.
I feel it around me today,
The past has gone away
And I feel good but strange.
Things will never be the same,
I offer thanks and I point blame
All for the winds of change.
