37 Poem by Tori Bachue

37

It's never enough, it just keeps coming
And stormy waterfalls
don't bring any peace
As I listen to your rain
See your fate unfold
And feel those eyes
All I want is to stay
in this sunny place
I talk and talk
Afraid of boring you
The same old song
Only the players change
That name of yours keeps ringing
And it's there, floating
I wish I could reach
Won't you let me in?
Some careless night under the stars
Running for tomorrow
Patience like a ring that's too small
A ghost of knowledge
A new promise, now.
