#373 Jude Preston Ii Poem by Jimmie Arrington

#373 Jude Preston Ii

You were born a year ago,
One year ago today
And like a rushing river flow
The days have rushed away.

You have grown so rapidly,
In character and size.
I wonder what colors you see
Through those infant eyes.

Your smile brightens every day
Like the candle on your cake.
Your laugh is like a holiday
Like dreaming while awake.

Your little voice rings down the hall
Like echoes from the past.
Your feet patter before you fall
Like a drunkard walking too fast.

You makes messes quite a bit
With your toys and slimy food
But even so, I must admit
I love you, baby Jude.

You have brought so much joy
And I promise til the end
You'll always be my little boy,
You'll always be my friend.
