The next time I saw Ron
He had a new wife and a new child (a 7 year old daughter to go along with a 17 year old son)
And a new job as business manager for the Santa Barbara Fire Department
The next time I saw Ron
We both felt a lot better
And we both weighed a lot more
We both had a lot more gray hair
And my back problems matched his knee problems
The next time I saw Ron
I had a new wife and a new life
And whereas he had joined a men's group in the 1990's and bonded with the new age and later still become a Republican
I won the battle against words and moved overseas
