60% Poem by Dewey Birch

60%

Rating: 3.5

If the woman you love, only liked you 60%, what would you do?

What would you say?

But what is 60%?

What is 60%, If time is rarely spent?

She vanishes like the wind.

However, you can never forget who, she is.

Because to forget is to lose your 60%

You give her your all but will it be enough?

You tell her time and time again you love her.

But maybe you are in a rush?

Love has no bounds..

But, how, can that be when it's bounded by time?

You are Damned if you do and damned if you dont

Should you be damned and always hold back your feelings?

Will you be damned if you are always telling her the truth?

The truth.. What is the truth besides wishes and dreams of the mind of what one thinks?

The truth...

The truth, is that the womans heart you aim to earn you may potentially have to steal...

the truth...

The truth is.. Are, you willing to lose that 60% by holding back your feelings?

Are you willing to lose your 60% for the fear she may find someone better?

Are you willing to kiss her soft lips, get on one knee, look into her beautiful brown eyes, while taking her soft hands in yours?

Are you willing to say you dont want to marry her but you pray that one day she will be yours?

Are you willing?

Yes! You should always be willing...

Because when you love someone and that person is willing to give you more than half of them... Why not be willing?

So take her lovely hands and take her 60%.

For the love you give can withstand the rest.

So be damned if you do, instead of damned if you don't.

Be willing to speak to her the truth even when a part of you says don't.

Because, you rather be damned if you do and lose your 60%, while showing her love and speaking the truth, than to be damned if you don't, holding back and giving in to your fears, with her feeling that she was not worth it.

Passionate utterances set aside for honest contemplation. Lovely and romantic. Thanks for sharing Dewey.
