646. And The Reaper Walked With Them Every Day Poem by Jaden Knight

646. And The Reaper Walked With Them Every Day

And the reaper walked with them every day
following wherever them went
though none could see him he was there
matching them with every step

The reaper watched them every day
from a baby until very old age
neither helping not hindering their progress
just waiting for the final moments

For the reaper knows all humans must die
to be harvested and cast into the void
all it needs is a swing of his bone handled scythe
at the precise moment of their death

No man or woman can predict the future
but one thing they can be sure about
any new borns will be followed by the reaper
just as he has walked with others every day
