650. My Heart Played Humpty Dumpty Poem by Jaden Knight

650. My Heart Played Humpty Dumpty

And so my heart played Humpty Dumpty
balanced precariously on a pedestal so high
knowing that it may never be forever
but while it lasted it could touch the sky

Of course everything crumbled away
my heart was toppled and it fell
shattered into so many pieces
as the love it had thought it felt went to hell

Eventually another person found my heart
and offered to assist with the repair
in the ventricles it dared to hope
that this one might actually care

And so many days had passed since that night
and the events that left such a lasting impression
but my heart wants to play Humpty Dumpty again
it seems it will never learn its lesson
