I was dressed smartly enough when I first met you
your emerald eyes seemed to remove my clothes
leaving me as if I was wearing nothing
naked and exposed to your sight
Your gaze seemed to caress my skin
the irises gently massaging the muscles
before deciding to look much deeper
for the answers you silently sought
And so your pupils pierced the flesh
leaving no marks to indicate your entry
scanning my mind and heart for clues
even examining my very spirit
under the microscope of your optic nerves
Up to that point you hadn't said a word
until your face lit up with a smile at my embarrassment
for though I was still fully clothed
it felt like I had been completely naked in your eyes
if only for a matter of moments
