71 - Empty Chair

Rating: 5.0

It's been two years
Right down to the day
That the Angels swooped down
And took her away
The pain hasn't healed
The tears remain the same
Either sleep or awake
I still call out her name
I'm still standing in that doorway
All i do is stand and stare
Still gazing upon
Her empty brown chair
I'm still singing
That heartbreak song
Repeating over
'She really has gone'
The memories a blur
I can't picture her face
Just the clouds in the sky
And the smell of that place
I still walk in slow motion
The same tears the same pain
Knowing that i'll
Never see her again
