751. Poem by Jaden Knight

751.

As the moon pokes out from the mountains
the red goblins of Rufus prepare for their weekly raid
looking to take whatever they can
terrorising village and farms near by

Everything they have is stolen even the rags they wear
despite having the ability to do everything themselves
they prefer that others do the work for them
before claiming it all for themselves

Despite being heavily armed they are cowardly
and will often flee when confronted by humans
for all their fierce looks they will run away
even if their target is out numbered

None of the raiders will return tonight
as they will meet their end in flames
their ashes will be sprinkled on the farms they robbed
so at last they can give something back

No more will the goblins raid the farms
as cowering in their cave they slowly starve
the people will finally have nights of peace
as their tormentors fade away into legend
