9 Blocks Poem by Selina Tan

9 Blocks

23rd of May last year
No lines were drawn until
23rd of June when odds went
One slipped passed
and got hold of a strange lie
and what curious soul
made one want more
It was then
that i found a quizzical abode
of your company
tremendous yet quite momentarily
after,
I felt the world beyond nines
It was not long when
truth called
I knew truths are never benign
Of what and will mischief
others surmise
and astute behaviour
So led to questions
and on the 10th of next month
I mustered my life
settled all left unsaid
and efface myself of
the 9 blocks I owned

He must have left footprints on your heart. I see you even remeber dates. Hope he gets his act together and appreciates someone who thinks of him probably daily. : -))
