Amma, Give A Heart Void Of Thoughts!
I wait to have
A pure heart void of thoughts,
To sing your thousand sweet names,
But it is like waiting to bath in sea void of waves.
I wish to be obedient to you.
But my mind is not obedient to me.
I wish to bind it by your thousand powerful names.
Alas! Like an ugly fly, it slips and goes after trivial things.
I want to engrave your thousand names in my heart.
But, this body is embodiment of thoughts.
Is it ever possible to eliminate all thoughts,
Without the physical heart demolished too?
Only constant chanting Amma's names and meditation on Her mercy can divert our mind and focus our thoughts towards Her divine presence, as you have rightly said.
