A Beautiful Travel Poem by Kawsar Khalil

A Beautiful Travel

Up and down along the serpentine track
Through the Pir Panjal Range of restless Himalayas
Mountains till my view goes
Unfold like drapery on my window
In the background of enchanting conifers
Conifers that pierce through
The loftiness of blue sky
From quite a distance appear
Like tapestry by a crafted embroiderer
Stitched on the zigzags
Till my view goes on and on
Travelling along a haunting precipice
That wrings out the last dregs
Of strength and the dark green slope
Reinforces the flickering valor
As the level rises
The heart comes into one's mouth
And as it starts to fall
Fears begins to surrender
While entering one of the dark tunnel holes
Dug by the human beavers
Thought of the light on the other side
Fills the vacuum with magic
And when out, fear and valor
Resumes hide and seek.
