A better day awaits tomorrow.
A time that's better than the one we now know.
A world will come along
That's not merely for the strong
Although the path is muddy, faint, and long.
A brighter day awaits the darkness
Which will greet the chilly frost with sparkness.
No more will we delight
In revenge, reprise, and spite
And return of harm won't be observed as right.
A better land awaits the voyage.
A shore where fear will to cede to confidence and courage.
Where the dollar and the gold
Will abdicate their hold
And what is right will matter more than what's more sold.
A lusher field awaits the desert
Where reason and wisdom will rule the earth.
Where one unhappy face
In a remote and distant place
Won't be expected as a sad but certain case.
And when the time does drift
We will all embrace the shift
And thaw tender hearts no longer cold and stiff.
