A Bible Unread Poem by Randy McClave

A Bible Unread

I bought them all Bibles to read
Hoping to plant a spiritual seed,
Wanting to bring forth a new relation
Then through God, a salvation.
I wanted then to stay away from a wicked path
I didn't want them to hear the Devil's laugh,
Some people truly want to be good
But, they have forgotten where others have stood.
Some people just like to blame and hurt
So, from them compassion and trust does desert,
They enjoy causing others so much worry and pain
They are worse, than Cain.
Some people don't seek redemption from the lord
They will then be spiritually and honestly ignored,
Their treatment of others will then be recalled
Their actions and deeds, have all been appalled.
One thing that I can surely see and also tell
They all deserve to burn slowly in Hell,
Some people don't deserve a happily ever after
They are entitled to everlasting torment, and the Devil's laughter.
They deserve the worse that befalls upon them
And sung unto them will be a justifiable hymn,
They have not read or followed the teachings of Christ
They truly believe his belief was overpriced.
I watched and I heard of the evils they spoke and did
As a diamond and a good woman are both easily hid,
Then unto a different road they were then convincingly lead
Because, their Bibles were all left unread.
