I stared into the eyes of the hooded silhouette that stood before me,
as he slipped his unsheathed blade deep into my bosom.
It was punishment i knew,
for i had done none but wrong.
And ahh, it pained,
pained like a thousand slivers that came flying my way,
pained like a branding iron against my raw flesh,
pained like thunderclaps upon my ears,
brought to my knees, doubled in pain,
I couldn't resist, I couldn't fight,
Arms bound behind me, tears blurred my sight
And a silent cry escaped my lips,
unable to take anymore, bear anymore.
God! , i repent! , i truly do,
Cut my heartstrings loose, i beg of you,
cause its moorings cause me nothing but pain.
Love hurts, I'm one to testify
For the subjects of love walk around,
with arrows in their hearts.
