A Brave Creature Poem by Sana Ashher

A Brave Creature

I saw an ant on the wall one day
And observed it solely to know its way
Of doing things day by day
Such strength it has to carry things
Added with mighty temerity
No fear no tear no thought of trouble
Or death which could be encountered
As each tiny step it takes
On a long arduous journey
In search of food for a massive stay
Inside its home through the wintery days
How does it know when to go
And where the food will be
Its talk is neither heard nor told
Such mind power of telepathy
To communicate with its family
A speck or dot, a brave creature
What happened to it each passing day
I salute each ant that works all day
And ask for such strength as it has
To be part of me as well to stay
