I have seen misery
I have seen Defeat
I have seen trouble
I have seen devils
Still I rise
Hope upon Hope
With angels to follow me
Light upon light
With messages to guide me
Still I Rise
Undefeated, Untold
Hidden and Secret
No one knows
The jealousy around me
It follows me too
Tries to capture me
Break me, tear me
But look at me
Still I rise
I rise again and again
I keep my faith strong
You can't defeat me
For my Lord is with me
You can't break me
For my guardian angels will break you first
You can't tear me
For you will get torn by tearing
Hope follows me everywhere
And my Lord is with me
Do you not see?
Still I rise
Don't mess with me
Because Prayer is my weapon
Let me Rise
For if you don't
You will drown
And me?
