A Broken Spirit Poem by Gary James Smith

A Broken Spirit

A Broken Spirit

A broken Spirit
And a contrite heart
Lord bring me to it
Let your working start
May my will surrender
Unto your's to obey
And confess my sin
And repent today

Lord I'm so needy
I know that I'm lost
For all of my sin debt
You've paid the cost
The only solution
You've made it plain to me
Is to trust in completely
The Christ of Calvary

Praise God my Salvation
Is found in the Son
You've made it simple
He's the only One
Yes in Christ alone
There is liberty
For He rose again
To offer life for me

O Hallelujah
I praise that Lamb
Whose sacrifice
Was made for man
Offering pardon
And a sure relief
Simultaneously
Upon belief!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
