A Caged Memoir Poem by neenu angelo

A Caged Memoir

Rating: 5.0

A pen, a book, a silent thought
A window wide open
A dark cloudy night -
They expressed the cries of my heart
They let off the way wearied mind.

A friend to share,
to laugh,
to cry,
to share the worlds as with the words.

The solace I found in the hearth of home.
Home - where you share
the warmth of care.

Deprived,
Never again,
The pen, the book, the silent thought.

Deprived,
Never again,
The window wide open.

Deprived,
Never again,
the comfort of the home.

The night still cloudy
the mind still weary.

Yet far, the warmth of home.
Yet far, the care of a friend.
