When I was a kid
I had few fears,
To be left alone in dark
With horrible nightmares.
She came fearlessly
Said, she would always be there,
Whenever there gets dark
And things look unclear.
As a little kid
She never played out there,
Like girls of her age
And any game unfair.
She was just a little girl
Did never forget to care,
Taught me my academic lessons
Made me capable to stand everywhere.
At several lonely nights
Whenever there was dark,
She stood before it all
Protected me with her spark.
She played with me
My most childish games
I thought her to be a kid
But she was my raincoat in heavy rains.
When mother was outside
She was there with me,
Though herself was a kid
But little mother for me.
I would never know
Why she used to be with me,
Whether because of her loneliness
Or only to protect me?
