A Carnival Of Colour Poem by Angela Wybrow

A Carnival Of Colour

You, my friend, have transformed my days
From black and white and shades of grey,
Into a carnival of colour: a sight to behold;
A fantastical feast of colours so bold.

So many colours, I have discovered;
A whole new life, I have uncovered.
Straight away, right from the start,
I could feel the true joy within my heart.

I have been dazzled and so surprised
By this fabulous feast before my two eyes.
I could only see colours of a dark night,
But now I see colours burning so bright.

You came along and rewrote my story,
And made me see life in all of its glory.
You set me free from my prison,
And, gave to me, a whole new vision.

My life was dull, but now it shines;
My outlook on life, you have redefined.
From colours before, I shied away,
But now they happily fill each of my days.

Into my life, a rainbow has burst,
And now, for colour, I have a thirst!
Of colours in my life, there was a lack,
But now, for me, there is no turning back.
