A Celebration Poem by Amity Quinn

A Celebration

A crooked nose atop a pale olive complexion.
Tall, reaching to the stars with every last limb
She will touch the sky.
Brown eyes that blend in and see all,
A heart that opens up and feels all
She can empathize.
Bare feet press into the hot grass
As she races across her summer memories.
Her voice will one day travel across the world,
Across the universe.
She has the ability to influence people,
But her ability is heavy under pressure.
She doesn’t want to blend in,
Yet she doesn’t want to be obnoxious.
She just wants to be.
Addicted to knowledge,
Analizations, and true beauty.
Addicted to books.

You're so exquisite writing on love of books rather than love of boys.
