A Child Want To Say Something Poem by Mahfooz Ali

A Child Want To Say Something

Rating: 5.0

I.

I would say something,
I would scream if I could.
I am a child afraid to cry out.
Because I know without a doubt that
No one is listening for my shouts.

II.

I am most afraid to cry out
I am a child trapped in the
Shell of a man that has never
Been able to grow beyond those
Terrible days in my life
Where I was set aside and
told I was no one's
Wanted son.
