A classrooms has no pews
For Catholics, Muslims, Protestants or Jews,
A classroom has only desks
For studying and learning and tests.
A classroom has students
Who attend there with a prudence,
A classroom has a qualified teacher
It does not have a preacher.
Schools support a mascot
And not headbands, the Ying Yang or the holy cross,
Schools talk about school spirit
Which in chants, "GO TEAM, GO", they cheer it
Students in school are not a congregation
They are learners enrolled for an education,
A classroom is not a church
No politician should be preaching on a school's perch.
