A Collection Of Haiku - Spring Poem by Greg Davidson

A Collection Of Haiku - Spring

I - Dawn
East explodes in light,
Dewed jewels reflecting.
Heralds call in flight.

II - On the Lawn
Magpies on patrol,
Strutting, bobbing in the grass.
Mynah on a pole.

III - Flowering Eucalypts
Yellow, pink and white,
The gum trees' honeyed palette.
Lorikeets delight.

IV - Buds
Tight in fists of green,
Holding promises of Spring,
Colours yet unseen.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
As the seasons flow
Slowly will this collection grow
Come again and there may be
Another verse to see.
